Have you ever been at the gym and seen someone doing the chicken dance, but then realize it’s just an interesting attempt at a rep of squats? Several gyms and recreational fitness centers lack the display of necessary information regarding basic workout techniques and how to operate machinery. The absence of such crucial information can result in serious injury to your members and effect business negatively.

The solution to the confusion is to implement fitness posters that are visible, easy to read, and attention grabbing. These posters can be conveniently placed around the space near equipment, machinery, recreational room, locker room, etc. Members will have easy access to vital information regarding safety rules, etiquette, health information, and guides for proper technique and form. It is extremely important to properly display the correct way to use machinery and body form for various workouts. Without access to these models, members can seriously injure themselves and others due to improper use or bad form. Also, the execution of proper techniques will result in better physical results and members will be pleased.

These days it’s all about direct results. People love to see how their workout regimen will directly translate to their target goals and how much progress they are making. Bruce Algra has designed easy to read fitness posters with a list of numerous workouts and sports that include an estimate of how many calories are burned per half hour. Another fitness poster that will ensure quick results is a list of weight lifting regimen guidelines. This poster acts as a personal trainer and gives specific steps including training level, warm ups and cool downs, and recommended frequency tips to ensure maximum results.

Many “new years resolution” gym goers are new to the scene and often unaware of proper gym etiquette, which can disturb frequent members causing a negative experience for both parties. Fitness posters that display proper rules for the weight lifting area are crucial to ensure that conflict does not arise and most importantly to avoid injury. Also, these new members are often unaware of the importance of stretching before each work out which is crucial to prevent pulling muscles. Fitness posters are now available that demonstrate different stretching positions and highlight the targeted muscle.

Fitness posters are the perfect solution to educate and inspire gym members and fitness enthusiasts. Improve the safety and quality of a fitness center by implementing these posters and provide the best environment for your members, because in the end, even Mr. Varsity could use a little guidance at the gym.
Just in time for the summer, a consumer survey did a study on the "Fitness Trends of Summer 2014". The study reveals that more than half of active American adults described their physical activity level as either “high” or “very high”. According to the survey, nearly 70% of those respondents believe that Zumba classes have a marginally higher benefit than other exercises. If you don’t know what Zumba is, it’s a trendy new fitness class that fuses Latin and international music to create an exciting new workout. Zumba uses dances styles from salsa to hip-hop.

American Council of Exercise who created this survey previously did a study in 2012 that compared Zumba to other fitness workouts such as kickboxing, aerobics, and yoga. Surprisingly, Zumba burns more calories than those other workouts with an average of 369 calories per class. Its popularity is undoubted with a whopping 97% of respondents who stated that they are likely to continue Zumba classes over the next 12 months. The numbers do not lie, and Zumba is a fantastic way to work your core muscle groups with the fun of music. Working out doesn’t have to be a big task in a gym full of intimidating people.
